Cookie Cutters
One of my prized possessions is my overflowing collection of cookie cutters. If you’re cookie cutter crazy like me, then this page is for you!
On this page I’ll share my personal favourites, items on my wishlist and new cookie cutters I come across. Be sure to pin and save this page and check back from time to time for more cookie inspiration!
I don’t just use cookie cutters for making delicious cookies (although I do that too!). I mostly use them to cut fruits and vegetables into fun shapes for the kids.
You’d be amazed how much carrot a kid will eat when it’s cut into the shape of a rabbit or a plane!
Cookie Cutters Collection:
My Husband proposed at the Eiffel Tower, so it holds a strong sentimental value. I have a couple of different sized Eiffel Towers in my collection and lovingly make my Husband yummy cookies with one cutter or the other.
There’s also this really amazing looking Paris Cookie Cutter Set I have my eye on!
For my oldest son’s 4th birthday he demanded frog cookies. Out of the blue. Because. Frogs. The cookie cutter still sits in my collection and I often think of my now 8 year old and wonder where the time went!
Fruit and Vegetable Mini Cutters
These are handy as they are mini and can shape just about anything into an enticing treat. Even a little effort can produce adorable, creative results!
We LOVE all this Noah’s Ark in our house and there are a couple of cookie sets complete with animals to march and an ark, that capture my kid’s imagination wonderfully.
Alphabet & Numbers Cookie Cutters
A fun idea is to make number cookies for your kids birthday parties in the age they are celebrating. It’s a fun tradition and makes use of number cookie cutters.
With the alphabet, you could use them to teach kids to read they name, spell fun words or just let them loose with alphabet cookie cutters and a big chunk of watermelon for cutting! (Supervised of course!)
Always popular with kids and fun to use to help teach Dinosaur species while enjoying yummy treats along the way.
My two boys are CRAZY into all things superheroes, so batman and superman are must haves in any Mum of boys cookie collection!
Not just for valentines day… all through the year hearts are great for making cookies or cutting fruit and vegetables for the whole family.
Stars are so versatile and having a range of sizes means that you can make everything from delicate, small vegetables to large, star shaped pancakes.
As soon as my boys hear stars, they are thinking Star Wars and luckily there’s a range of Star Wars Cookies available! (Even Star Wars Gingerbread Cookie Cutters!)
Spooky and scary and fun to use for a variety of Halloween treats.
There are just SO many ways to use cookie cutters, I’ll end this page with even more inspiration – 7 ways to use cookie cutters:
