My youngest celebrated his birthday 3 weeks ago and in 2 weeks my oldest will celebrate his Birthday and I was trying to think of a special, wondrous treat for them to celebrate their birthdays. The Peter Pan Morning Tea at The Langham Melbourne was the perfect solution – a unique experience that I just knew that they would enjoy.
We caught the train into Melbourne City and enjoyed a spot of sightseeing before making our way into The Langham, conveniently located across from Flinders Street Station.
The boys were wowed the moment we walked into the ornate foyer…
We made our way up The Aria Bar, where the Peter Pan Morning Tea is taking place. By the way – to get to The Aria Bar within The Langham is surprisingly simple, I was a little hesitant to take the bulky double pram but there was plenty of room in the lift and we even managed to “park” it next to our table.
The boys were given colored pencils and coloring sheets (Peter Pan themed of course) and my oldest enjoyed working his way through the maze.
He was so engrossed in his maze that he almost missed the arrival of his babycino, served in the most beautiful, delicate cup and saucer.
Then – what the boys had been waiting for – the 3 tiered cake stand, filled with tasty treats the likes of which they had never experienced before… Pirate Cookies, Wafer Teepees, Tinkerbell Fairy Cupcakes… the list goes on and the kids were in awe…
The scones with jam were also a huge hit!
The morning tea will be remembered for months (and possibly years) to come and my oldest has already asked me when we’re going back!
If you’re after a super, special, unforgettable experience to share with your kids then the school holiday and special themed morning teas at The Langham Melbourne is an indulgent treat that your little ones won’t forget.
