French Toast With Fried Egg
For dinner last night I was asking my kids whether they wanted French Toast or Fried Eggs for dinner. My 6 year old asked me whether he could have both… so I thought about it and came to the conclusion that he could and set about making them French Toast topped with Fried Egg.
I regularly make french toast (including pumpkin, orange, banana and more!) or fried eggs for dinner for my kids. They are a quick and simple dinners that are bursting with nourishment.
Combining the two together is essentially doubling the nutritious value of their dinner and I don’t know why I didn’t think of this before! (My 6 year old is obviously a culinary genius!!)
To make this dish, simply cook french toast and fried eggs to your liking and then top the french toast with the fried egg.
I served mine with cucumber slices on the side for a vegetable portion and I had two happy kids!
Here’s a quick video I put together sharing my excitement for this simple kids dinner.
My kids absolutely loved the combination – especially my 6 year old who came up with this brilliant meal idea.
They loved the french toast covered in runny egg yolk and even shared a bite with me – it was perfectly delicious!
