Covent Garden London – Early Morning Walk and Breakfast
While in London recently we suffered from dreaded jet-lag following our flight from Japan. Our jetlag resulted in the family waking at about 4am for the first few mornings and not being able to get back to sleep.
We took advantage of the early mornings by heading straight into London to see the lights and enjoy the early morning atmosphere.
On one of the early morning adventures we headed straight for the Covent Garden area.
Witnessing the city waking up was just incredible and one of my absolute favourite holiday memories.
After walking for what seemed hours, we enjoyed an amazingly (and well deserved) decadent breakfast at Tuttons Covent Garden.
I had the Mushroom & Truffle Florentine which consisted of poached eggs, wilted truffled spinach, mushrooms, toasted muffin & Hollandaise sauce. It was simply incredible. The eggs perfectly cooked, sauce rich and mushrooms tasty.
Finally, we took a brief wander through Neal’s Yard. An area I’d been wanting to explore as it’s filled with natural therapy and organic stores.
Here’s a video for you to experience the Covent Garden early morning walk for yourself plus our decadent breakfast:
Overall we had a memorable, early morning wander around Covent Garden. It was wonderful to be able to embrace the early mornings rather than dread them and I see us doing the same again on our next trip!
