Baked Nectarine Crumble (Grain Free, Gluten Free)
I just love crumbles. They are a delicious way to enjoy a bounty of in season fruit and I’ve already shared recipes for Pear Crumble and Apple Crumble.
As we’ve just reached the end of Summer in Australia and are still lucky enough to be enjoying the last of the wonder of Summer stone fruit, I couldn’t resist whipping up a yummy Baked Nectarine Crumble and sharing the recipe with you.
While making this with my 5 year old he was sneaking in tastes of the crumble mixture, it’s just so yum!
This dish couldn’t be simpler – you prepare your fruit and then top it with your crumble and you’ll be rewarded with a delicious dessert that is sure to be a hit with your family.
Baked Nectarine Crumble Recipe
- 6 Nectarines
- 50g Butter, Softended
- 1/2 Cup Ground Almonds (where to find)
- 1/2 Cup Flaked Almonds (where to find)
- 2 Tablespoons Maple Syrup (where to find)
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract (where to find)
- 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon (where to find)
- Preheat the oven to 180C/350F and get out an oven safe pie dish.
- Halve the nectarines and discard the stone.
- Place the halved nectarines in the pie dish.
- To make the crumble, rub the softened butter into the ground almonds until completely combined.
- Mix the flakes almonds, maple syrup, vanilla and cinnamon into the ground almond mixture until smooth.
- Top the nectarines with about a teaspoon each of the crumble mixture.
- Place into the preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes or until golden and cooked to your liking.
Enjoy as is or serve topped with cream, ice cream, yoghurt, creme fraiche, or even a little mascarpone.
