5 Benefits of Menu Planning – Meal Planning Tips
Lately I’ve really gotten into the habit of menu planning. I’ve been LOVING the benefits that menu planning brings and today I’m sharing those benefits with you:
1. Save Money – you’ll find that you spend SO much less on groceries when you plan your meals, make a shopping list and stuck to your list while shopping, not buying extra items just in case you need them.
2. Save Time – instead of spending ages working out what you’ll be eating each meal, and then prepping the food as you go, you can be prepared ahead of time and feel organized and in control of your mealtimes.
3. Reduce Waste – you’ll waste so much less when meals are planned. Food is bought for specific meals and should then be used, rather than sit in the fridge/fruit bowl and end up being forgotten about and ultimately thrown in the rubbish.
4. Balanced Meals – when you plan your meals you have the benefit of seeing into the future… (Well, almost!) You can plan a week or month ahead, vary your protein sources and plan your menu to be balanced overall.
5. Try New Recipes – if you have an overflowing recipe folder, pinterest boards with more and more yummy pins being added you have the opportunity to put those recipes to good use and actually cook them.
