Virgin Australia Lounge Tour at Melbourne Airport

Each time we travel, we look forward to a visit to the Virgin Australia Lounge at Melbourne Airport. We enjoy access to the lounge because of the wonder of Family Pooling. If you’ve been following my blog for a while you’ll know that we’ve been lucky enough to enjoy long haul trips to England, Ireland and Japan over the past couple of years. Each trip we have flown with Virgin Partners, crediting points and status credits to one account and zooming our way to Platinum at a rapid rate!

So, we can now enjoy the benefits that platinum membership brings – skipping queues and lounge access being the benefits we look forward to most on each trip.

On our recent trip to the Gold Coast, bad weather meant a TWO HOUR flight delay in Melbourne. Thankfully we hadn’t yet left the lounge so got to enjoy a full breakfast and then the menu changed to lunch, so we got to enjoy that too, in the comfort of the lounge with an awesome view of the runway and Virgin terminal.

My highlight was the soup. Each time I’ve enjoyed a soup in a Virgin Australia Lounge it’s been hearty, full of flavour and accompanied by a crusty roll. (Or two!)
