10 Low Carb Weight Loss Foods – 10 Foods Which Helped Me Lose 10 Kg/22 lbs with the Low Carb High Fat Ketogenic Diet.
Knowing what to eat on a Low Carb Diet like the Keto Diet can be tricky. I’ve gotten into a routine the past 3 months which has helped me lose 10 Kg/22 lbs without feeling hungry and incorporating similar meals over and over again using these 10 low carb weight loss foods at the core of my meals.
I’m all about making it easy to put together meals, and when you have a selection of favourite, go to foods it makes it incredibly easy to make meals and stick to the low carb, keto way of eating.
These are MY 10 go to low carb foods which I’ve turned to EVERY day to help me lose 10kg and I hope this list will inspire you to think of your own list to make it easy for you to follow a low carb, keto diet.
- Spinach – plenty of greens every day for fibre and nutritious benefit.
- Avocado – healthy fat and packed full of fibre and nourishing elements.
- Mushrooms – versatile low carb vegetable that’s rich in nutrients.
- Cream – high fat ingredient that fills you up once you’re fat adapted on the Keto Diet.
- Sour Cream – a versatile high fat ingredient that can be dolloped on the side of most meals to increase the fat content and keep you full for longer.
- Butter – cooking in butter is not only DELICIOUS, it increases the fat content of your meal, which is just what you want on the Keto Diet.
- Tuna – an easy zero carb protein option that you can always have on hand and use in salads or easy, cheesy tuna casseroles.
- Animal Fats – roast chicken/lamb/beef, salami and silverside are my go to animal fats on the low carb, high fat diet.
- Eggs – enjoyed for breakfast most days and hard boiled for salads, devilled eggs and snacks.
- Strawberries – a low carb sweet treat that can be enjoyed in small amounts.
As long as my fridge/pantry is stocked with the above 10 foods, I know I can mix and match them and enjoy low carb, high fat breakfasts, lunches, dinner, snacks and even dessert with ease.
