The only reason I would eat a salad is to enjoy a creamy salad dressing just like this easy buttermilk dressing.
It couldn’t be easier to prepare. Simply whisk together your creamy ingredients, along with your seasoning of choice. Here are some ideas for seasoning to create a Homemade Buttermilk Dressing to your own tastes.
- Salt
- Pepper
- Parsley
- Garlic – freshly grated or ground
- Onion – freshly grated or ground
- Dill
- Apple Cider Vinegar
- Lemon Rind or Juice
- Spring Onions
Personally, I LOVE garlic infused dressings, so grated a garlic clove over the creamy ingredients. And, added a couple of shakes of salt too.
When you’re following a diet like the low carb, keto diet, a salad dressing like this comes in handy to elevate the fat content of a meal. Keeping you fuller for longer.
Easy Buttermilk Dressing Recipe
- 1/2 Cup Sour Cream
- 1/2 Cup Mayonnaise
- 1/2 Cup Buttermilk
- Salt, Pepper and other seasonings of choice.
- In a bowl, whisk together the cream, mayonnaise and buttermilk until smooth.
- Add your seasoning of choice and whisk to combine.
- Enjoy as is, store in the fridge and use within a few days.
