  • 1 Ripe Banana
  • 1 Cup of Rolled Oats
  • 1/3 Cup Peanut Butter or Almond Butter
  • 2-4 Tablespoons Golden Syrup (Depends on how sweet you’d like your cookies.)
  • Chocolate Chips (Optional)

Mash the banana until smooth, add the oats and stir to combine.

Place the peanut butter and golden syrup into a small saucepan over medium heat to form a smooth and creamy mixture.

Move the creamy peanut butter to the bowl with the oats and banana and combine together until you have a cookie dough.

Line a baking tray with well greased baking paper and drop a teaspoon of batter per cookie onto the baking tray.

  • 1 Tablespoon Maple Syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 2 to 4 Tablespoons Chocolate Chips

Start by preheating the oven to 180C/350F, get out a small baking dish or ramekin and grease it well.

Then, in a large bowl, combine together all of the simple ingredients, except for the chocolate chips, and mix well until smooth.

Stir some of the chocolate chips through the batter and move the batter to the prepared baking dish.

Top the oats with the rest of the chocolate chips and then place in the preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes or until cooked through and golden brown.

  • 125g/4.4 ounces Unsalted Butter
  • 1/3 Cup Coconut Sugar or Brown Sugar
  • 3 Tablespoons Golden Syrup
  • 2 Cups Rolled Oats

Start by preheating the oven to 180C/350F and lining a square baking pan with well greased baking parchment paper.

Place the butter, sugar and golden syrup into a small saucepan on the stove top over medium heat.

Heat until the butter has completely melted and the mixture is smooth and creamy.

Place the oats into a large bowl and pour over the creamy butter and golden syrup/sugar mixture.

Stir well until fully incorporated and them move the oat mixture to the prepared baking pan.

Press the granola bar mixture down well with a spoon to flatten, then place into the preheated oven and bake the granola bars for 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown and cooked to your liking.

Remove from the oven, allow to cool slightly, then cut into bars, allow to cool completely to harden and then enjoy.

Store in an airtight container at room temperature and enjoy the healthy homemade treat within a few days.
