Eat Drink Blog – Food Bloggers Conference – Perth

Food Bloggers Conference Eat Drink Blog Perth 2013

Yesterday I returned back home to Melbourne following an inspiring weekend at Eat Drink Blog, a Food Bloggers Conference which took place in Perth. (A 3.5 hour flight from Melbourne, for my US readers!)

Well, I ate incredible food, I drank a ridiculous amount of coconut water and I learned soooooo much and met so many amazing bloggers along the way too.

First, the food glorious food… Wow… it was amazing… sensational… the bounty on offer over the course of the weekend was simply mind blowing.

Once registered bright and early on Saturday morning, the coffee from 5 Senses began flowing (and didn’t stop all day). I enjoyed a couple of latte’s which were simply perfect!

There was also a delicious array of breakfast pastries from Jean Pierre Sancho.

The conference itself was an inspiring event. Speaker after speaker shared their expertise about topics including photography, food writing, finding inspiration and following our passion. I learned so many nuggets of information which I will be applying to bring an even better blog to you… watch this space!

Morning tea included this Chocolate Almond Butter Crunch Toffee from Littlesweet Baking which was hands down my absolute favourite sweet treat of the weekend. It was a revelation of salty sweetness and I can’t wait to get experimenting to try and re-create the treat…

Lunch included a beautiful spread from European Foods, including this gorgeous rainbow salad. I just adored the luminous vegetables.

80 Food Bloggers meant 80 bloggers capturing their own unique view of EVERY food on offer. We all understood, joked about it and waited patiently for our turn while others photographed the yummy food on offer…
