Grape And Tomato Kebabs
Since the start of the year I’ve been taking part in a photo a day challenge on Instagram. The prompt the other day was “Lucky Number” and when thinking of where I’d find my lucky number (4) – I decided to create a 4 from food instead.
Hence these Grape And Tomato Kebabs were a born. Turns out it’s a really fun fruit snack pattern which is also a fun way to incorporate learning about numbers into mealtimes! Plus, my 4 year old LOVED that I was making a 4 – his number!
The flavours of grape and tomato is something of a sweet and sour combination and although my kids ate them separately, I tried them together and it was interesting.
I’ve since discovered that there IS such a thing as grape, tomato and mozzarella kebabs, which sounds a tad more grown up than these and something I’m keen to give a try. (Ok, so on further inspection it turns out the recipe it with Grape Tomatoes… not Grape and Tomato! Silly me!)
Once the skewers were empty, the boys were eager to get creating and asked for more grapes and tomatoes to put together their own creations.
Have you tried the grape and tomato flavour combination?
