I’ve always LOVED popcorn. When I was pregnant with my soon to be 8 year old I ate bowlful after bowlful most days and so it’s not a wonder that the kids love it too! (I tend to look over the fact that I broke a tooth on popcorn a couple of years back… it was my fault, not the popcorns!)

So, my family adore popcorn and I’m regularly making stovetop popcorn, it’s always incredible making it from scratch and I just adore playing around with flavouring my homemade popcorn. In this instance it’s Cinammon!

Cinnamon is one of my very favourite flavours, I love experimenting with including it in different recipes (like Cinnamon French Toast). I only recently starting enjoying cinnamon on my popcorn and now that I have there’s no going back… it’s just such a delicious popcorn topping that I keep making it over and over again!

This popcorn makes a healthy snack and would also be a perfect lunch box inclusion.

Cinnamon Popcorn Recipe

  1. Melt the coconut oil in a large saucepan.
  2. When hot add the corn kernels.
  3. Regularly shake the saucepan before and during popping.
  4. Once all the kernels have popped, remove the saucepan from the heat.
  5. Combine the sugar, cinnamon and salt together in a bowl.
  6. Sprinkle the cinnamon mixture over the popped popcorn and shake to combine.
  7. Serve and enjoy!
