7 Easy Keto Snack Ideas – The BEST Low Carb Snacks Ideas- great for quick on the go snacks and including sweet and savoury snacks too.
7 Easy Keto Snack Ideas
Throughout my almost 2 year Keto Diet journey, I have enjoyed plenty of low carb snacks. Today I’m sharing my 7 go to easy keto snack ideas that I’ve enjoyed time and time again.
1. Hot Chocolate
My number one go to easy keto snack is undoubtably hot chocolate. It’s the perfect filling snack that satisfies my chocolate craving while helping me meet my macros. (Click here for the easy recipe.)
2. Strawberries and Cream
A close second when it comes to Keto Diet Snacks is strawberries and cream. I’m often asked about whether you can actually have strawberries on keto and the answer is YES! But – don’t go overboard. Stick to 3 to 4 strawberries a day, loaded with heaps of whipped cream of course.
3. Cheese
My fridge is always stocked with a variety of cheese options. So, often when I just need a tiny little snack, a slice or square of cheese is perfect.
4. Meat
There’s usually a leftover meat or roast of some description in the fridge which can make a speedy snack when needed. Above is my corned beef which I make at least once every couple of weeks, meaning leftovers and snacks for days. (Click here for my Authentic Irish Corned Beef recipe.)
5. Avocado
A whole avocado or a salad quickly thrown together, like the one above, with spinach, cucumber and feta to complement the creamy and nutrient dense avocado.
6. Nuts
A handful of nuts is a great snack which is rich in protein, fibre and healthy fats too. Just be sure to exercise strict portion control, because those carbs add up quick with nuts.
My favourite nuts are macadamia nuts, which also happen to have almost perfect Keto macros.
7. Eggs
I usually have a bowl of hard boiled eggs, ready and waiting in the fridge to enjoy as a snack. Then, I’ll either have a whole hard boiled egg, simply cut in half and sprinkled with salt.
Or, I’ll make egg mayo or deviled eggs – which are so easy to make you can even do it with just 2 ingredients. (Click here for the recipe.)
I hope you’ve found inspiration and new east keto snack ideas to enjoy. As you can see, there are loads of foods you can enjoy for snacks that are low carb and Ketogenic Diet friendly.
