Warm Goat Cheese Salad Recipe
Recently we went out for lunch to a cafe and I had Warm Goat’s Cheese on a focaccia and it was my first experience of enjoying Goat’s Cheese warmed in a dish.
So, I couldn’t resist experimenting with ways to enjoy Goat’s Cheese in a warm, gooey form. This Warm Goat Cheese Salad is my favourite – a simple salad with just a few ingredients that combine together to create a salad of dreams!
How To Make Warm Goat’s Cheese Salad
To make this dish, bake rounds of goat’s cheese on top of tomato rounds until soft and gooey. Then move to a platter of salad leaves and enjoy.
You can of course include other ingredients in your salad, here are some ideas:
- Spinach/Kale or leaves of choice
- Red Onion
- Peppers/Capsicum
- Nuts – walnuts, almonds, pine nuts
- Lentils, Chickpeas or another bean/pulse
- Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- Balsamic Vinegar
- Apple Cider Vinegar
Warm Goat’s Cheese Salad Recipe
- Goat’s Cheese
- Tomatoes
- Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- Salt & Pepper, to taste
- Salad Leaves
- Preheat the oven to 180C/350F and grease a baking dish.
- Cut the goat’s cheese and tomatoes into rounds.
- Top the tomato slices with goat’s cheese slices in the baking dish.
- Drizzle over extra virgin olive oil, salt and pepper, to taste.
- Place into the preheated oven for 10 to 15 minutes or until the tomatoes are slightly blistered and the cheese is soft and gooey.
- Wash salad leaves and place onto a plate, top with the warm goat’s cheese and tomato rounds.
- Serve and enjoy immediately.
The warmed goat’s cheese melts in your mouth and is perfectly balanced by the accompanying softened tomato and greens.

- Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- Salt & Pepper, to taste
- Salad Leaves

- Preheat the oven to 180C/350F and grease a baking dish.
- Cut the goat's cheese and tomatoes into rounds.
