Whipped Ricotta Dessert Recipe – how to make an easy no bake 3 ingredient sweet vanilla mousse with ricotta cheese – with the video tutorial.
Whipped Ricotta Dessert
This whipped ricotta dessert has only 3 ingredients and makes an easy, creamy sweet treat that can be whipped up super quick in just mere minutes.
I just love incorporating ricotta cheese into desserts as they create wonderfully creamy, yet not too rich sweet treats.
Ingredients You’ll Need For The Simple Recipe
To make this dessert you’ll need these simple ingredients that are easy to find at a grocery store:
Ricotta Cheese – creamy low carb, high protein whole milk ricotta cheese whips up to a creamy texture, similar to light whipped cream.
Sugar – you can use sugar, icing sugar, stevia, honey, maple syrup or any sugar or sweetener alternative you like.
I’ve suggested 1 to 3 tablespoons in the recipe because it really depends on how sweet you like your sweet treats to be.
Vanilla Extract – for the pure vanilla flavor use vanilla extract or you can use vanilla essence in the dessert.
Optional Extra Ingredients For The Great Dessert
You can adapt the recipe to suit your tastes and what you have in your kitchen, here are some ideas for you:
Chocolate – add in 1 to 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder, mini chocolate chips or even some grated dark chocolate for a chocolate ricotta mousse dessert.
Creamy Ingredients – for an extra creamy whipped ricotta, whisk through heavy cream, cream cheese, Greek yogurt or mascarpone cheese.
Lemon – add in lemon extract or lemon zest and lemon juice from fresh lemons for a homemade ricotta mousse with hints of lemon.
Fresh Fruit – fold through or top the mousse with chopped fresh berries such as strawberries, raspberries or blueberries for a berry infused dessert.
