Millstone Restaurant

Millstone Restaurant Dublin Gluten Free Steak Sandwich

This steakhouse, centrally located in the heart of Dublin on Dame Street, has an extensive separate gluten free menu that includes a quick lunch menu and dinner menu with plenty of starters, mains, steaks and sides to choose from. (Here are their menus.)

You’ll find popular favorites such as a steak sandwich, burger on a gluten-free bun, wings, Irish seafood chowder, fish and chips and an appealing lamb shank with mashed potatoes – all at reasonable prices.

When I visited the restaurant was initially quiet with plenty of tables available, but then quickly filled up, so I’d suggest booking a table so you’re not disappointed.

I went for the steak sandwich, which included a steak cooked to your liking, sandwiched between gluten-free bread, along with sauteed mushrooms and onions and served with a side of frites/fries and a peppercorn sauce. The friendly staff were attentive throughout the meal and I found the gluten-free food to be tasty and great value for a city centre location.

Featherblade

Plate with steak and salad

One of our favourite places in Dublin, Featherblade is located on Dawson Street, one of the best foodie streets in the city.

We’ve sampled their grass fed Irish steaks, sides and burgers, which can be served on a gluten-free bun.

Each meal has been full of flavor, satisfying our taste buds enough to return on numerous occasions to experience the meaty goodness again and again.

Gallagher’s Boxty House

Traditional Corned Beef Boxty

This popular spot in Temple Bar has a numerous GF options on their menus, which includes a day menu for breakfast and brunch and a dinner menu.

Choose from a veggie breakie or eggs Benedict for breakfast, a boxty pancake filled with a tasty choice of fillings for brunch or hearty meals such as Gluten Free Fish and Chips (made with a gluten free batter), Shepherd’s Pie, Corned Beef, Irish Stew or their famous boxty with a whole host of flavour options.

I visited for brunch and sampled their Corned Beef Boxty which was a light, fluffy boxty pancake filled with tender, flavorful corned beef and a creamy parsley sauce.

I went for The Goat, which includes goat cheese, caramelized onion, organic mozzarella and plenty of seasoning on a unique sesame infused gluten free crust. It was a truly remarkable pizza, loaded with flavor and you really don’t even notice that it’s gluten free.

Tang

Fluffy gluten free pancakes topped with fresh fruit

Also located on Dawson Street, as well as a couple of central spots in Dublin, Tang serves up wholesome breakfasts and lunches.

I’ve enjoyed their fluffy gluten free pancakes with seasonal fruit and creamy yogurt topping.

Oakberry Açaí

Oakberry Açaí in Dublin Ireland

There are a number of spots around Dublin that serve gluten free friendly sweet Açaí bowls.

I’ve tried them at the hidden gem of Oakberry Açaí, who have a huge choice of gluten free toppings, including fruit, nuts, seeds and even gluten free granola as an option.

You can choose from a smoothie or bowl to enjoy as a healthy, sweet snack or light meal option.

Kilkenny Design Restaurant

Kilkenny Design Restaurant - Baileys Cheesecake

At Kilkenny Design Restaurant you’ll find a choice of meals as well as cakes that are tempting and gluten free, including the above pictured mouthwatering Baileys Cheesecake.

Bewleys

Gluten free chocolate brownie at Bewleys Cafe on Grafton Street

Bewleys is located on Grafton Street and is always bustling with tourists and locals eager to soak in the atmosphere of the stunning cafe and enjoy the treats on offer.

I’d suggest booking a table at this always busy iconic cafe, especially if you’re in Dublin city for a special occasion and want to experience the beautiful atmosphere for yourself.

When I visited there was a choice of either a gluten free cheesecake or brownie, I went for the decadent chocolate brownie that was served with a scoop of sweet vanilla ice cream.
