Gold Coast Family Holiday
We recently enjoyed a Gold Coast Family Holiday. We were looking forward to a relaxing break and swapping the cold of Melbourne with the warmth of the Gold Coast.
We chose to stay at the The Wave Resort in Broadbeach. The apartment was PERFECT – spacious, comfortable, equipped with everything we needed for an amazing family holiday. The location was convenient, a short walk from the beach, surrounded by a massive choice of restaurants and fun playgrounds which the kids enjoyed.
Unfortunately a swim in the sea was off limits during our stay because the waves were dangerously high. We weren’t too upset though, because it was still a tiny bit too cold to actually swim. That didn’t stop us from exploring the local area, enjoying the views and playing in the playgrounds.
On one of the days, we took a walk from Broadbeach to Surfers Paradise. According to the map, the walk was supposed to take 45 minutes. Well, it took us about 2 hours, with numerous stops along the way to play at playgrounds, admire the gorgeous scenery and catch a couple of Pokemon!
The highlight of Surfers Paradise for the boys was the MASSIVE Timezone Entertainment Centre. As we were on holiday we splurged with a couple of hours package so the boys got to play to their hearts content.
As you’ll see from the below video, other highlights of our stay were the Sunday market in Broadbeach and a lengthy shopping excursion at Pacific Fair.

Our Gold Coast Family Holiday was memorable, relaxing and tons of fun. Can’t wait to go back again for another adventure!
