Low Carb Dinner Ideas

There are so many low carb dinner ideas that are amazing to enjoy on the Ketogenic Diet, I filmed a whole week of what I had to dinner to share some dinner ideas with you.

As you’ll see in the video below, I attempt to balance meals through the week, alternating between vegetarian, fish, meat and chicken meals.

Use this as a guide, be inspired and come up with your own family favourites.

1. Zucchini & Mushroom Alfredo

Spiralize a couple of Zucchini and set aside. Heat butter or coconut oil in a frying pan and when hot add sliced garlic cloves and mushrooms. Cook until reduced then add the spiralized zucchini and cream to cover. Heat through and serve as is or topped with Parmesan.

2. Smoked Salmon Platter

Serve smoked salmon with your sides of choice, my favourites are:

  • Spinach
  • Sour Cream
  • Feta
  • Avocado
  • Cream Cheese
  • Cucumber

3. Sausages and Mashed Cauliflower

Be very careful when choosing your sausages as some can be loaded with fillers and unnecessary carbohydrates.

4. Cauliflower Mac & Cheese

Chop a whole head of cauliflower into bite sized pieces. Heat butter or coconut oil in a frying pan and when hot add the chopped cauliflower. You can add a generous shake of turmeric at this stage if you want. Cook the cauliflower until reduced and then to make the creamy, cheese sauce add your choice of one or a combination of cream, cream cheese, mascarpone, mustard, grated cheese and Parmesan. 5. Tuna Salad Bowl

Start with a bed of your green of choice and then add a tin of tuna, chopped vegetables to taste and for sauce, my preference is a tablespoon each of Mayo and Sour Cream for ultimate creaminess and flavour.

6. Bunless Burger

Cook your favourite burger recipe and then serve them with lettuce cups in place of burger buns. Fill your burgers with your favourite burger filling ingredients.

7. Roast Chicken

Roast a whole chicken or chicken pieces and serve with your vegetables and/or sauce of choice.

My sauce of choice is a creamy mushroom sauce, which I make by cooking sliced mushrooms until reduced and then add a generous amount of cream.
