Low Carb Peanut Butter Mousse Recipe

My Keto experimentation never stops. It’s always fun experimenting with low carb ingredients and seeing what recipes I come up with. This is the result of one of the experiments. I just felt like something sweet and combined together what I had to hand to create this sweet keto snack.

And, it turns out that cream cheese and peanut butter combine to create a delicious low carb dessert that any nut butter fan will adore.

Yes, this makes a small portion, so feel free to double (or triple) the recipe so it goes further. I first made this as a small portion to try and got into the habit of making it, enjoying it over a couple of days and then making it again.

I’ve tested this with both peanut butter and almond butter and the results are all delicious. Depends on your tastes and what you have open in your pantry at the moment.

You could of course adapt the recipe to your tastes – making it sweeter with more stevia or more chocolatey by increasing the cacao volume.

Low Carb Peanut Butter Mousse Recipe

  • 125g/4.4 ounces Cream Cheese, softened
  • 2 Tablespoons Peanut Butter
  • 1 teaspoon Cacao Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Stevia
  • Whipped cream (for optional topping)
  1. In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth.
  2. Beat in the peanut butter, cacao and stevia until completely combined.
  3. Place into a serving bowl and enjoy as is or topped with whipped cream.

Makes 4 servings. Macros per serving: 155 calories, 3 Carbs, 14.5 Fat & 4 Protein
