Garlic Baked Brie Recipe

I am completely, utterly, ridiculously head over heels in love with this Keto Garlic Baked Brie dish!

I suffered from an (embarrassing) awful burn on my lips from being impatient and not waiting for this glorious dish to cool, just slightly before sampling a gooey mouth full.

No clue why I haven’t made this before, but now that I have, you can be sure I’ll be including a wheel of brie in my grocery haul every week!

You’ll adore how the garlic melts into the brie and becomes one gooey cheesey, garlicky liquid.

I’m not going to lie… Each time I’ve made this dish, I’ve devoured it within minutes and by the spoonful. (With the help of my Husband!)

If you do want to be a tiny bit more civilized, then you could dip cucumber, celery or even cocktail sausages into the melted cheese.

This dish is fuss free, yet makes a fancy crowd pleaser appetizer or cheese board accompaniment for a party, especially over the Thanksgiving, Christmas and Festive Season.

Ingredients You’ll Need

Wheel of brie

You only need 3 simple ingredients for this recipe that’s wonderfully low in net carbs:

Brie – a keto friendly cheese choice, you’ll need a 200g/7 ounce wheel of brie in this recipe. You can swap for a wheel of Camembert or your low carb friendly baking cheese of choice instead.

No need to take the rind off of the cheese, it’s deliciously edible and holds the creamy brie in place while baking.

Brie has just 0.1 grams of net carbs per ounce or 30 gram portion, making this a super low carb, ketogenic friendly food to include in your low carb lifestyle.

To feed a crowd at a party, just use a larger wheel of brie and add in more garlic and sage.

Ingredients you'll need

Garlic – one of my favorite savory ingredients that I just can’t get enough of in dishes like this.

I do tend to dot my brie with more garlic cloves than I think I’ll need because we just love the flavor, but maybe hold back and follow the less is more principle if you’re unsure whether your guests are garlic fans.

Sage – is my herb of choice, I just adore how the strong sage flavor is the perfect balance to the richness of the cheese.

Optional Extra Ingredients

Nuts – crumble pecan nuts or walnuts over the top before baking for a nutty baked cheese. Or, you could serve the cheese with a portion of the above picture candied walnuts.

Onion – either freshly caramelized onion or store bought onion jam.

Butter for keto garlic baked brie recipe

Butter – dot with a pat of butter as soon as the brie is out of the oven for extra rich and indulgent creaminess.

Olive Oil – drizzle olive oil over before baking for an olive oil infused dish.

Herb options

Herbs & Spices – instead of sage, you could dot the brie with rosemary, thyme, parsley, cinnamon, nutmeg or your herb or spice of choice.

Salt and Pepper – add a shake of salt or pepper for additional seasoning.

Strawberries

Berries – serve with juicy strawberries, raspberries, cranberries or your berry of choice.

Crust – you can make a keto friendly buttery, flaky crust for the brie for added indulgence.
