With the holiday season fast approaching, it can feel overwhelming if you’re planning to stick to the Low Carb, Keto Diet. But – you don’t have to be left out of party festivities.
To make it easy for you, here are 3 Keto Appetizer Recipes that are all quick to prepare and will help you stick to the plan.
Keto Appetizers Shopping List
I put these low carb appertizers together from ingredients I already had in my kitchen and that you’re likely to have too if you’re following the Keto Diet.
To make these Easy Appetizers, you’ll need just these 7 ingredients:
- Eggs – hard boiled
- Tin of Tuna
- Smoked Salmon
- Sour Cream
- Cucumber
- Cream Cheese
- Salt & Pepper
2 Ingredient Devilled Eggs
There are so many Devilled Eggs varieties that you can enjoy. I like to keep it simple with just hard boiled eggs and sour cream.
Start by hard boiling eggs and then allowing them to cool. Peel the eggs that you’re going to use and then slice them in half.
Scoop out the egg yolks and place them into a bowl. Mix through sour cream, salt and pepper to taste. Start with 1 to 2 tablespoons of sour cream and add more depending on how many eggs you’re using and how creamy you want your eggs.
Then, fill the empty hard boiled egg whites with the creamy yolk filling. Serve immediately or refrigerate and serve on the same day.
There are heaps of variations, you could add any of the following ingredients to spice up your devilled eggs:
- Mayo
- Avocado
- Paprika
- Mustard
- Chopped Smoked Salmon
- Chopped Chives
Tuna & Cucumber Bites
To make the tuna and cucumber bites, slice the cucumber into bite sized rounds. In a bowl, mix together a small tin of tuna with sour cream and salt and pepper to taste. Combine until smooth.
Top the cucumber rounds with a teaspoon of the tuna mix.
Place into the fridge or serve immediately.
Smoked Salmon Roll Ups
Lay the smoked salmon flat on a plate. Remove cream cheese from the fridge and make sure it’s easily spreadable.
You could spread the cream cheese as is or mix some lemon juice, lemon zest, paprika, salt, pepper, chives or capers through the cream cheese.
Spread the larger end of the smoked salmon with a generous dollop of cream cheese. Roll up and place onto a plate.
Serve straight away or refrigerate for no more than a day.
