Easy Low Carb Keto Lemon Mousse

Lemon Cheesecake Mousse Recipe

The other day I shared a blog post with 22 Easy No Bake Keto Desserts and today I have another sweet no bake inspiration for you – Lemon Cheesecake Mousse.

This mousse tastes like a rich lemon cheesecake, but without the crust. (And without the hassle too!)

Keto Lemon Mousse Ingredients

Ingredients for low carb lemon mousse

To make this easy lemon mousse you’ll need only 4 ingredients – cream cheese, lemon, stevia and cream. They are simply whisked and whipped up into a creamy lemon mousse.

I’ve listed half a cup of cream cheese in the recipe, which was the full 150g/5.2 ounce container of cream cheese that I had. If your container is 125g/4.4 ounce instead, then don’t worry about the extra 25 grams – it will still be wonderfully cheesecakey.

When you’re making the mousse, keep the cream cheese out of the fridge for a few hours to soften to a creamy texture, to make it easy to create the mousse.

Whipping cream for keto lemon mousse

I like to use the zest of the full lemon and juice of half to the whole lemon. It’s up to you, depending how many carbs you want to allocate to your mousse.

Regarding the sweetener, you can use stevia or whatever sweetener you usually enjoy in your diet. I find 2 tablespoons to be sweet enough, but then I adore the luscious lemon flavour. You may prefer to up the stevia to a quarter of a cup (or more) for a sweeter mousse.

For the cream, use double, heavy, whipping or whatever cream you can easily whip into fluffy whipped cream.

The 4 ingredients complement each other perfectly and create a light, lemony mousse that tastes like you’re enjoying a decadent cheesecake.
