Easy Baked Oats Recipe – How to make simple baked oatmeal for breakfast or as a sweet treat with strawberries for one – without banana – with the video tutorial.
Easy Baked Oats Recipe
This easy baked oats recipe can be enjoyed as a warming sweet breakfast or treat any time of the day. (Or night!)
I’ve chosen to leave out banana, which is often included in baked oatmeal recipes as I find that the banana flavor overpowers everything else in the dish.
There are loads of ways that you can flavor and adapt the recipe, here are some ideas for you:
- Use Yogurt instead of milk in the recipe
- Swap the strawberries for your choice of fresh or frozen fruit
- Sprinkle over or mix through chocolate chips
- Stir through cocoa powder
- Mix in Protein Powder for a protein rich oatmeal
- Mix through a pinch of Cinnamon
- Stir through a spoon or two of Peanut Butter
- Use Honey, sugar or stevia instead of maple syrup
I tend to set out a selection of ramekins and baking dishes and let each member of my family make up their own unique baked oats combination with ingredients of their own choosing from the above list.
