Chocolate Mint Mousse

This chocolate mint mousse recipe has only 3 ingredients and makes a decadent, dark chocolate dessert.

I find it difficult to resist a minty chocolate sweet treat and this mousse is the perfect way to enjoy the flavor marriage by the glorious spoon full.

3 Ingredients For The Dessert

Ingredients for the recipe

Here are the 3 ingredients that you’ll need for the simple dessert:

Chocolate – I’ve use a dark mint chocolate that I found at ALDI. You can use any mint chocolate you like, or really any flavored chocolate works well in this indulgent mousse recipe.

Butter – unsalted butter is melted with the chocolate to create a rich and creamy dessert.

Whisking egg yolk into chocolate mixture

Eggs – yes, this recipe includes raw eggs, so be sure that the eggs are as fresh as possible and avoid serving to anyone with a weakened immune system. (Including young children and anyone who is pregnant.)

If you’d prefer the make the dessert without eggs, then simply melt the chocolate and butter together, allow to cool, whip a cup or so of heavy whipping cream until thickened then fold the melted chocolate mixture through that.

How to make chocolate mousse with mint

If you’d like a stronger minty flavor, you can add in a half a teaspoon peppermint extract.

For a sweeter mousse, simply add a few spoons of sugar or your sweetener of choice to melt with the chocolate and butter mixture.

The easy chocolate mint mousse recipe can be served in bowls, glasses, dessert cups or even as the mint layer in a decadent chocolate mint pie.
