Paleo Daiquiri Smoothie Recipe
In my 20’s, Daiquiris were one of my absolute, all time favourite drinks. Then, kids came along and I lost the ability to tolerate alcohol, so I haven’t had any sort of cocktail in AGES.
I recently bought a Nutribullet blender and so I’ve been thinking about recreating some of my old favourite drinks, in a non alcoholic and paleo/healthy way.
This is the first successful experimentation – a Virgin Non Alcoholic, almost identical tasting Daiquiri that I adore and I’m sure you will too.
Regarding the fruit, I like to mix it up and use frozen raspberries and fresh strawberries, or the other way around. So I get a mixed berry drink.
You could use all strawberries or all raspberries if you’d prefer. I do encourage a mix of both fresh and frozen though, for the perfect Daiquiri texture.
Make it Keto – as I’ve been Keto for over a year and have only just started transitioning into a Paleo type diet and enjoying the abundance of all the fruit and coconut water.
I also experimented with a Keto version of this drink. Simply lower the berries to meet your macros and swap the coconut water for sparkling water. It won’t be as rich a drink, but you will still get a daquiri-ish experience!
Paleo Daiquiri Smoothie Recipe
- 1/3 Cup Frozen Strawberries or Raspberries
- 1/3 Cup Fresh Strawberries or Raspberries
- Juice from 1/2 a Lime or Lemon
- 1/2 Cup Coconut Water
- 1/4 teaspoon Stevia or your Sweetener or choice
- Place all of the ingredients into your blender.
- Blend until smooth, pour into a glass and enjoy immediately.
