Some mornings, when you just don’t feel like or have the time for a big cooked breakfast, a Keto Breakfast Shake is the perfect solution.

You can construct a shake to meet your macros and whatever you feel like on that particular morning and it’s a smart way to stay on track.

How To Make A Keto Breakfast Shake

Ingredients for keto breakfast smoothie

You can make your keto breakfast shake by mixing and matching the following ingredients. I’ve shared my own recipe below to also help inspire you.

As you’ll see, the options are almost endless and you can pick your ingredients of choice to create your ultimate Keto Breakfast Shake.

  • Milk – Coconut, Almond or another low carb milk alternative
  • Cream – a great way to increase the fat content and help you meet your macros
  • Yoghurt – pick a plain, natural or greek yoghurt as those have the lowest carb content
  • Berries – you can include a handful of fresh or frozen berries
  • Protein Powder – an easy way to include protein in your breakfast shake is with a low carb protein powder
  • Chia Seeds – a couple of teaspoons goes a long way and can provide an excellent source of fiber
  • Vanilla or Stevia – to flavour or sweeten your breakfast shake
  • Spinach or other greens – you can include a handful of greens to start you day with a portion of vegetables
  • Mascarpone or Cream Cheese – for a luxurious, creamy shake
  • Peanut or Almond Butter – for a nutty shake
  • Chocolate – cacao powder or grated dark chocolate

Simply pop all the ingredients into your blender and blend to create your shake. I have a Nutribullet, which I love and makes easy work of blending together keto smoothies and shakes.
