Turmeric Breakfast Bowl Recipe

I conjured up this breakfast to enjoy while falling back in love with Turmeric. I always forget just how much I enjoy it sprinkled on dishes and wonder why I don’t experiment with the nourishing spice more often.

So, this easy breakfast bowl recipe is infused with turmeric in both the cauliflower and scrambled eggs, delivering a deeply flavourful dish.

Turmeric Breakfast Bowl Recipe with spinach

I’ve kept it simple with just cauliflower, but you can feel free to add in garlic, onion or any other vegetables. Also, you can use butter, coconut oil or olive oil – depending on your tastes and dietary requirements.

Make Ahead Note – you can easily make this breakfast ahead of time and store it in the fridge to reheat. Just slightly under cook the eggs so that they don’t overcook when reheated.

Turmeric Breakfast Bowl Recipe

  • Chopped Cauliflower
  • Ground Turmeric
  • Spinach
  • Eggs
  • Cream (Optional)
  • Butter, Coconut Oil or Olive Oil, for frying
  1. Heat butter, coconut oil or olive oil in a frying pan.
  2. When hot, add the chopped cauliflower and a generous couple of shakes of turmeric.
  3. Cook until browned, adding more butter or oil when needed. Or, you could add a bit of stock or water if you want to keep the fat content down.
  4. Once the cauliflower is cooked through, add a couple of handfuls of spinach and cook until wilted.
  5. Whisk the eggs, together with the (optional) cream and a couple more shakes of turmeric.
  6. Once the spinach has wilted, pour over the whisked eggs and scramble until done to your liking.
  7. Move to a bowl and enjoy.
