Keto Pizza Omelette Recipe

Omelettes (or omelets) are one of my favorite breakfasts and I love experimenting with different flavor combinations. This keto pizza omelette recipe is my latest experimentation.

The whole family loved this easy omelette and it really tastes like pizza – but with a fraction of the carbs, and without the hassle of trying to make a pizza from scratch.

Use the lowest carb pizza sauce, tomato sauce or passata you can find, or you can easily make your own by combining a tin of chopped tomatoes, crushed garlic, basil, oregano, salt and pepper to taste.

Here are some ideas for keto friendly favorite toppings that you can include in your omelette. Some may require a quick fry to cook before going into your omelette:

  • Mushrooms – button or portobello
  • Onions or Garlic
  • Bell Peppers such as red pepper or green pepper
  • Cherry tomatoes or chopped tomato slices
  • Spinach
  • Asparagus
  • Salami, Pepperoni Slices, Chorizo or Sausage
  • Leftover cooked roast chicken/beef/lamb
  • Herbs – for example basil, oregano, parsley, Italian seasoning
  • Cheese – for example cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese, brie, parmesan cheese, goats cheese, ricotta cheese or feta

The below recipe makes a low carb pizza omelet for one, but you could easily double to make more.

You could also start the omelette pizza in your frying pan on the stove and then finish it off in the oven or under a hot grill.

Asparagus and cheese toppings

Another option for this healthy pizza option is to keep the omelette open, completely cover the top with your fillings of choice and then cook it in the oven until the toppings are golden.

This super quick meal allows you to enjoy the classic flavors of pizza without the fuss and can be enjoyed for a quick breakfast, lunch or breakfast for dinner. In fact, you can whip up a pizza omelette in less time that it takes you to order and wait for a take away to arrive.

Whichever way you choose to go – this is such an easy and versatile keto friendly way to enjoy pizza that you can’t go wrong any time of the day!

Keto Pizza Omelette Recipe

  • 2-3 eggs
  • Few tablespoons of cream
  • 1-2 Tablespoons Pizza Sauce
  • Handful of grated cheese
  • Oregano
  • Butter or Coconut Oil, for frying
  1. Beat eggs and cream, together in a bowl.
  2. Melt butter or coconut oil in a frying pan on the stove over medium heat.
  3. When hot, add the beaten eggs.
  4. Fry until starting to set and then move the mixture around to help set the omelette evenly.
  5. Once ready, fill half  the omelette with the pizza sauce, cheese, oregano or your omelette fillings of choice.
  6. Fold the other half of the omelette over, cook until the cheese is melted to your liking.
  7. Move to a plate, serve with a green salad if you’d like and enjoy.

Each time I’ve made this for the family it’s been warmly received and the kids (and my Husband) can’t get over the fact that it tastes just like pizza – but without any carby crust.

Ingredients

  • 2-3 eggs
