Chocolate Chip Bread Recipe

This chocolate chip bread recipe is so easy, everything comes together in one bowl, it’s gluten free, yet wonderfully moist too.

I adore using coconut flour as my gluten free flour of choice. A little goes a long way and it creates perfect baked treats.

Regarding the sugar, when filming I used coconut sugar, which results in a golden, flavorful bread. But, I’ve also used regular sugar in the past too and the bread is lighter in color in that instance.

Mixing chocolate chips into the batter

If you’d prefer the cake to be lower in carbs, just use stevia instead and low carb friendly chocolate chips. (Like these on Amazon.)

The chocolate chips I used were a bag I found at ALDI, but you can use whatever chocolate chips you like. Or break up your favorite chocolate into chunks for a decadent chocolate chunk bread.

You can use any milk you like in this recipe. I used oat milk just because that’s what I had in my fridge at the time of filming. I’ve also made the bread with almond milk and you can use regular dairy milk instead too.

This gluten free chocolate chip bread is wonderfully warming straight from the oven. Or, we also like it stored in the fridge and served sweet and cold too.

Make It Low Carb & Keto Friendly

Keto Chocolate Chip Bread Recipe - How to make Easy Low Carb loaf with coconut flour.

I alternate between making this bread keto friendly for myself and not keto friendly for my kids.

To be sure that the bread is low carb and keto friendly, make the following substitutions:

  • Use stevia or your sweetener of choice instead of sugar
  • Use almond milk or another low carb milk
  • Include keto friendly chocolate chips (or you could bread up a block of your favorite low carb friendly chocolate for a chocolate chunk bread.)
