Peanut Butter Bread Recipe – Easy Low Carb, Keto, Gluten Free, Sugar Free & Dairy Free moist peanut butter bread – inspired by the 1932 Depression Era Bread. With the full video tutorial.
Peanut Butter Bread Recipe
This peanut butter bread recipe is inspired by the 1930’s Depression Era bread I’ve been seeing all over social media lately.
My adaptation is allergy and diet friendly, there’s only a subtle peanut butter flavor and a slice is especially tasty when topped with my homemade chia jam.
How To Make Keto Peanut Butter Bread
The bread is really easy to make, start by combining coconut flour and baking powder together in a bowl.
I’ve chosen coconut flour because you only need half a cup to get the same results as you would from 2 cups of regular flour, making it budget friendly.
Then, in a large bowl, simply whisk together peanut butter, eggs, stevia, milk, vanilla and salt until smooth.
Once the batter is smooth, add the coconut flour mixture and blend until fully incorporated.
Then, it’s just a matter of pouring the bread batter into a loaf tin that’s lined with well greased baking paper, and baking in a 180C/350F oven for 40 to 50 minutes.
Peanut Butter Bread Recipe

- 1/3 Cup Stevia
- 1-2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract
- Pinch of Salt
- Preheat the oven to 180C/350F and line a loaf tin with well greased baking paper.
- Combine the coconut flour and baking powder together in a small bowl.
- Place the peanut butter, eggs, stevia, almond milk, stevia, vanilla and salt into a large bowl.
- Using electric beaters, whisk the peanut butter mixture together until smooth.
- Add in the coconut flour and baking powder and whisk until fully incorporated.
- Pour the bread batter into the prepared loaf tin.
- Place into the preheated oven for 40 to 50 minutes, or until golden and cooked through.
- Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely, then serve by the slice.
Nutrition Notes: If you want the bread to be low carb, keto friendly use stevia and almond milk in the recipe. Otherwise, feel free to use whatever sugar or sweetness and milk you like. Also, be sure to use gluten free baking powder to ensure the bread is completely gluten free.
