Kiwi Banana Smoothie Recipe – Easy Tasty Breakfast Green Smoothies Ideas with kiwi fruit, banana and oats – with the video tutorial.
Kiwi Banana Smoothie
This kiwi banana smoothie makes an easy, almost zero prep breakfast. It’s a great way to use ripe bananas you have that are calling out to be turned into sweet treats.
You can use fresh banana or frozen banana in this smoothie, with frozen bananas adding a creamy, frosty element to the drink.
Kiwis are a wonderful superfood, containing high amounts of vitamin C, dietary fiber as well as an abundance of beneficial antioxidants and health benefits. (Source.)
I’ve added only a little bit of maple syrup because sometimes ripe kiwis can be quite sour and also to add flavor due to the inclusion of oats in this smoothie. Feel free to add sweetness to your own tastes and sweetness of your fruit.
Adding oats to your favorite smoothie recipe turns the drink into a whole meal that will easily keep you full for hours, which is especially welcome on a warm day.
Just make sure that the oats are gluten free if you’re following a gluten free diet yourself, or serving the smoothie to someone who is strictly gluten free.
I used oat milk in this instance, but you can use almond milk, regular milk or any milk you like for the perfect, creamy texture.
I like using my Nutribullet blender because you can blend and drink all in the one cup if you want to in the powerful blender. It’s probably the gadget I use most often in my kitchen. (Here’s my Nutribullet on Amazon.)
