These almond flour desserts are all delicious recipes that are naturally gluten free and can be low carb keto recipes as well, depending on the sweetness you choose to use. 

They are all full of subtle, nutty flavor and can be made with either almond flour or almond meal, depending on what you have to hand and the texture you’d like the treat to be, with almond meal or ground almonds resulting in coarser desserts and fine almond flour producing a finer texture in the end result. 

I wouldn’t suggest swapping for other gluten-free flours like coconut flour, however, because the flours react very differently in baking. 

As you’ll see, almond flour can easily be used in place of regular flour such as all purpose flour in baked goods and sweets, and still be able to create decadent treats to satisfy your sweet tooth during the holiday season and all year around. (Shop for Almond Flour on Amazon.)

All of my favorite almond flour recipes require only a few simple ingredients to create anything from delicious cookies to decadent, truly indulgent brownies that you won’t even notice are gluten-free diet friendly. 

1. Best Almond Flour Cookies

These healthy almond flour cookies are quick and simple to make, needing only an egg white, stevia or your sweetness of choice, vanilla extract and ground almonds or almond flour. 

You can even boost the almond flavor by swapping the vanilla extract for a little almond extract instead. 

Transform the recipe into almond flour chocolate chip cookies by mixing dark chocolate chips through the cookie dough. 

To make the homemade almond flour cookies, simply whisk the egg white until thickened, whisk through the sweetness and vanilla then fold through the almond flour until you have a cookie dough. 

Drop about a teaspoon per cookie onto a cookie sheet that’s been lined with well greased parchment paper and bake at 180C/350F for 10 to 15 minutes, or until golden brown and done to your liking. 

Allow the cookies to cool to crisp up, then store the cooled to room temperature cookies in an airtight container to enjoy within a couple of days. 

2. Flourless Brownies

These decadent almond flour brownies are incredibly fudgey and include decadent dark chocolate. 

You simply melt butter and chocolate together, before mixing through stevia or sugar, vanilla extract, salt, eggs and almond flour. It’s all combined together in one pot, making for quick and easy washing up too!  

Pour the brownie batter into a lined baking tin and bake at 180C/350F for 20 to 25 minutes or until done to your liking.

Then it’s just a matter of being a little patient, waiting for the almond flour desserts to cool before cutting into the indulgent brownie bites as the perfect chocolate treat. 

3. 4 Ingredient Almond Flour Cake Recipe 

Easy 4 ingredient almond cake

This easy almond cake has only 4 ingredients and is flavored simply with vanilla extract. You can swap though for lemon zest or orange zest for a citrus infused gluten free cake. 

To make the light cake, separate the eggs, whisking the egg whites in a bowl until thickened, then whisking together the egg yolks, vanilla and sugar or stevia in a second bowl until smooth and creamy. 

Then, it’s just a matter of folding the thickened egg whites into the yolk mixture, pouring the cake batter into a lined cake tin and baking at 180C/350F for 30 to 40 minutes. 

Allow to cool, then top your cake that has a moist texture with your frosting or icing of choice, or simply opt for a dusting of icing sugar, as I have done. 

4. Almond Flour Chocolate Cake

This gluten and dairy free chocolate cake also has only 4 ingredients – chocolate, eggs, sugar and almond flour and creates a rich chocolate cake that you won’t believe is made with gluten-free alternatives to regular flour. 

Start by melting chocolate in a double boiler, then set it aside to cool. While the chocolate is cooling, separate the eggs into two bowls, whisking the whites until thickened then whisking the yolks and sugar until smooth, before stirring through the almond flour and chocolate and finally gently folding through the whipped egg whites. 

Pour the almond flour chocolate cake batter into a cake tin and bake at 180C/350F for 45 to 50 minutes. Allow to cool then top with your frosting of choice, slice into the sweet treat and enjoy! 

5. Almond Flour Pancakes

The good thing is that you can enjoy these easy, healthy almond pancakes for breakfast or as a speedy gluten free dessert that can be prepared in mere minutes. 

Heat a frying pan with coconut oil or butter, then simply whisk together eggs, vanilla, milk or buttermilk and almond flour. 

When the pan is hot, drop a tablespoon of pancake batter per pancake into the hot pan, cook until bubbles appear on the surface, then flip the pancakes over and cook until golden brown and done to your liking. 

Enjoy topped with your pancake toppings of choice, such as maple syrup or an indulgent swirl of whipped cream or ice cream.  

6. Blueberry Pancakes

These fruit filled and topped blueberry pancakes taste like sweet almond flour blueberry muffins, but require very little effort. 

Heat a frying pan with coconut oil or butter, then simply whisk together eggs, almond milk, stevia or your sweetness of choice and almond flour, once the batter is smooth, stir through the blueberries. 

When the pan is hot, drop 2 tablespoons of pancake batter per pancake into the hot pan, cook until bubbles appear on the surface, then flip the pancakes over and cook until golden brown and done to your liking. 

Top your pancakes with a handful of blueberries, your toppings of choice and enjoy. 

7. Waffles

You can enjoy these indulgent almond flour waffles for breakfast or an indulgent dessert, and they have only 4 ingredients. 
Heat a waffle maker, then whisk together eggs, heavy cream, salt and almond flour until well combined. 

Cook the prepared waffle batter in the heated waffle maker until done to your liking then enjoy with your choice of waffle toppings such as fresh fruit and whipped cream.
