10 Easy Keto Desserts
Keto desserts really don’t have to be complicated. In this post you’ll find 10 Easy Keto Desserts, all which require just a few basic ingredients and steps to create a decadent dish which tastes so much like the real thing that you won’t believe the sweet treats are low carb and keto diet friendly.
Keto Dessert Ingredient Essentials
Before we get into the recipes, here are some essential ingredients to keep on hand so you’ll be able to satisfy your sweet tooth and enjoy easy keto desserts whenever you want them.
Chocolate – including both cocoa powder and 85% or 90% dark chocolate (where to find it) which can be melted to create chocolate mousse, brownies or enjoyed in an indulgent hot chocolate. It’s important to go for as high a percentage as possible, to keep the carb count down.
I like to keep a mix of blocks and chocolate chips to be able to create anything from keto cakes to keto chocolate chip cookies with ease. Remember that you can always sweeten your dessert with stevia, or your sweetener of choice.
Cream – heavy cream, heavy whipping cream, double cream or any cream that you can find at your local grocery store that you can easily whip to thick whipped cream is always a must to keep on hand.
Cream Cheese – used in chocolate mousse, berry mousse, fat bombs and chocolate cheesecake brownies, the versatile ingredient is always in my fridge.
Eggs – I enjoy eggs most days in some way, and am always sure to keep extras to hand for desserts like baked custard, brownies or lemon ricotta cake.
Butter – a general keto staple, but also essential for desserts like brownies and chocolate pudding. I keep both salted and unsalted butter in the fridge, as sometimes salted butter can be used in desserts if you want to get a little creative.
Flour – coconut flour and almond flour, or ground almonds, mean I can whip up a batch of brownies, or another keto baked treat, with ease. (Where to find keto flour.)
Stevia – my sweetener of choice to help with my sugar cravings. A good idea is to experiment with a few different sugar substitutes in keto sweets until you find one that you like the taste (and after taste) of. (Where to find stevia.)

1. Chocolate Cheesecake Brownies – the #1 recipe on my blog – these brownies are a hit with all who’ve tried them and they are a favourite with my family too.
The fudgy keto brownies were inspired by a Nigella Lawson recipe that I’d been making for years and wanted to enjoy in a keto friendly way.
2. Strawberry Cheesecake Mousse – fresh berries are one of the few fruits allowed on keto and a little goes a long way in this creamy dessert.
To prepare the simple recipe, you mix together with a hand mixer – whipped cream, cream cheese and berries for a sweet treat which is a great way to finish a meal, or serve on special occasions, or to guests at a dinner party or pot luck.
3. Chocolate Pudding – inspired by a dessert I tried while in Amsterdam, this pudding is rich and will satisfy any chocolate craving.
It almost tastes like a chocolatey custard, yet it’s so easy to put together, and is lovely enjoyed warm or chilled from the fridge.
4. Baked Custard – custard is usually a fiddly dessert to prepare, but this one is super easy. You just whisk the ingredients together and then pop them into a dish for baking in the oven.
That means that you can prepare the dessert well ahead of time, store it in the fridge and then pop it into the oven when you need it. So, if you’re entertaining that makes an excellent dessert that can be enjoyed warmed, fresh out of the oven following a meal.
5. Easy Keto Chocolate Mousse – I’ve shared 5 keto mousse variations on the blog but this no bake recipe has to be the easiest.
You simply whip the delicious dessert up in one bowl and it tastes like a chocolate cheesecake, yet with very little effort.
6. Pumpkin Pie – you don’t have to only enjoy pumpkin pie when pumpkins are in season. Keep a tin or two of pumpkin puree in your pantry and you can enjoy this easy keto dessert year round.
This tastes like an authentic pumpkin pie, yet has absolutely no flour – even keto alternatives and is perfect topping with a generous swirl of whipped cream.
7. Chocolate Souffle – a chocolate souffle doesn’t have to be a tricky dish to prepare. This recipe only has 4 ingredients and creates a warming chocolate dessert that will wow a crowd.
I like mine gooey and moosey, but you may prefer yours a little more cooked inside. Regardless, they may not look like an authentic, highly risen souffle but they certainly deliver in chocolate decadence. You can top your delicious keto dessert with sugar free ice cream or whipped cream.
8. Hot Chocolate – I’ll often finish my meal with a warming mug of hot chocolate. It satisfies my sweet cravings and keeps me full too.
There are many low carb hot chocolate versions, but I find this one to be the easiest and most richly chocolatey.
9. Lemon Ricotta Cake – this has a generous portion of healthy fats, protein and very little carbs. It’s great for fans of lemon desserts and looks way more complicated than it is.
It’s another one of those recipes where you pop all the ingredients into a bowl, whisk them together and then bake them into dessert perfection.
10. Flourless Chocolate Brownies – these are the easiest keto brownies, only have a few ingredients, need just one pot/dish to prepare and taste like a tray of rich, gooey chocolate brownies.
And yes, there are 2 fudgy brownies in this top 10 – each is a different chocolate dessert experience and both are the epitomy of easy keto desserts.
I hope you’ve found heaps of inspiration for easy keto dessert recipes to enjoy yourself or to share with your friends and family.
