At least once a week I’ll enjoy a Keto Omelette Recipe of some description for breakfast. So, today I’m sharing some of my go to Keto Omelette Ideas with you. 

The ketogenic diet friendly easy breakfast recipes can be adapted to your own personal preferences and macros on a low carb diet.

Omelettes make a brilliant and quick option for breakfast, lunch or breakfast for dinner that can be budget friendly as you can fill them with whatever vegetables are in season and fresh produce you have needing to be used in your kitchen.

They are also the perfect keto dish, being naturally low in net carbs and high in healthy fats and essential protein.

There are many methods and low carb recipes for creating an omelette, you can usually even follow a regular recipe, simply omitting flour or other thickeners sometimes included in egg omelette recipes.

My perfect omelette method is to whisk together in a small bowl 2-3 whole eggs and 1-2 tablespoons of heavy cream, per person. You can even separate the egg yolk from the egg whites and whisk them separately to create a super light and fluffy souffle omelette.

Then heat butter, olive oil or coconut oil in a nonstick frying pan over medium heat on the stove top and, when hot, pour the beaten eggs in. 

Allow the omelette egg mixture to set for about a minute and then move the outside to the inside and the inside to the outside so that the omelette cooks evenly.

Then, fill half of the omelette with any of the below keto omelette ideas, gently fold over and allow to cook through on all sides. 

Serve with a side of vegetables or sour cream for added healthy fats and enjoy the perfect keto meal for breakfast.

I find that spinach is a great addition in helping to balance the richness of a cheesy omelette.

Here are even more ideas for additional ingredients to enjoy as low carb omelette fillings that you can mix and match to create your ideal breakfast:

  • Leek, Onion, Spring Onion or Garlic – for added flavour, saute first to soften and become golden, remove to a bowl and then use to fill your omelette.
  • Cheese Slice Options – cheddar cheese, mozarella, goats cheese, cream cheese, brie, blue cheese, feta cheese
