Low Carb Milkshake

This low carb milkshake is easy to whip together and is the perfect frosty sweet treat.

I use my Nutribullet to whip together the milkshake. It’s really handy to have in the kitchen and I have made all sorts of smoothies and shakes in it. (Where to find a nutribullet.

Keto Milkshake Ingredients

Keto milkshake ingredients

In my milkshake I’ve used unsweetened almond milk, which is low in sugars and carbs. For balance, I’ve included cream to add in healthy fats. You can use whatever cream you already have in your fridge.

Here in Ireland you can get small tubs of already whipped cream that don’t have any sugars or carbs added to it. I keep a tub in the freezer to use as an instant ice cream substitute in recipes like this.

You could make your own by whipping heavy cream and storing it in the freezer for when needed.

Another option is of course using Halo Top or another low carb friendly ice cream. Or, you could make your own ice cream, here are my recipes for vanilla and no churn chocolate ice cream.

The flavor of your milkshake will be determined by the ice cream that you use. And, the more ice cream you add, the creamier it will be.

I’ve included vanilla for flavor. You can also add in stevia if you’d like your milkshake to be sweeter and even a scoop of protein powder to elevate the protein, if you like.
