These Mediterranean Breakfast Ideas are the perfect way to start your day with a healthy meal that includes wholesome, nutritious and simple ingredients that are easy to find at a local grocery store.
The Mediterranean Diet is inspired by the diet of those living along the Mediterranean Sea, and includes staples such as healthy fats like extra virgin olive oil, whole grains, nuts and seeds, beans, fresh fruit and vegetables.
Protein is usually in the form of eggs, fish, seafood and a little bit of local dairy (in particular Feta cheese), with only a little red meat included in meals. (Source.)
