When it comes to preparing tasty meals that are low carb and keto diet friendly, it really doesn’t have to be complicated. You’ll see that there are plenty of mouthwatering lazy keto recipes to choose from.
Over the course of my keto journey I’ve shared countless easy meals with few ingredients and steps that make it super simple to follow a low carb diet like the ketogenic diet and enjoy weight loss success.
These meals are perfect whether you’re following a traditional keto diet or just wanting to sample the best part about the low carb way of eating – enjoying meals that the entire family will approve of, with plenty of healthy fats and easy to find items at your local grocery store.

1. Broccoli Casserole
This healthy meal is low carb, high fat and has just 4 ingredients. You can easily adapt this cheesy veggie dish to include your vegetables of choice.
As you’ll see from a lot of the meals shared, you don’t have to have meat with every single keto meal – in fact I regularly enjoyed meat free days while following the keto diet.
2. Breakfast Fry Up
There are many ways to enjoy a breakfast fry up. And, you don’t have to limit a fry up to breakfast – they also make a hearty breakfast for dinner one-pan meal.
Simply heat olive oil, coconut oil or butter in a frying pan, then fry up a couple of low carb veggies and breakfast ingredients of choice, along with fried eggs and you have a wonderful keto breakfast fry up. (Here’s the full list of lazy keto breakfast foods.)
3. Pizza Omelette
Another perfect breakfast meal that can be enjoyed any time of the day is an easy pizza omelette. It may sound a little strange, but it tastes like you’re enjoying a pizza – but without the carbs. (And associated bloating!)
Simply construct an omelette and fill with pizza sauce, mozzarella cheese and your usual pizza toppings, fold over for a pizza flavored omelette.
4. Best Ever Chicken Bake
This chicken bake really is our best ever and doesn’t take a lot of time to prepare. My family can’t get enough of it and thankfully it’s as easy as popping a couple of ingredients into a baking dish and then baking until crisp and cooked through.
You can use any chicken you like including chicken breasts, thighs or drumsticks in this dish which is one of my absolute favorite lazy keto meal recipes.
In fact, this is such a hit with the whole family that my youngest son requests this as his birthday and special occasion meal – and the kids aren’t even keto!
5. Mushroom Stroganoff
Another low carb meat free meal that’s so cream and flavourful that you won’t even miss the meat!
All you do is fry up mushrooms and add creamy sauce ingredients in this easy keto diet meal.
6. Steak Salad
This steak salad may look tricky but it’s actually really simple to put together and makes an easy meal prep option.
Simply cook a steak to your liking and while it’s cooking, prepare a plate with leafy greens and sliced veggies.
Then, chop your steak, place on top of your prepared salad, drizzle over dressing and crumble over feta cheese too, if you like.
7. 2 Minute Zoodles
The quickest lazy keto meal, you can be enjoying a bowl full of low carb friendly noodles/zoodles (made with a spiralizer like this) and a creamy tuna sauce with cream and cream cheese in mere minutes.
8. Tuna Noodle Casserole
Another keto noodle option is to chop noodles from cabbage for the easiest way to enjoy a low carb pasta alternative.
Your cabbage noodles can then be enjoyed in a low carb friendly tuna noodle casserole. If you’re a fan of cheesy tuna dishes then you’ll love this version of an old family favorite.
9. Cheesy Broccoli Soup
This cheesy broccoli soup soup is the ultimate easy lazy keto meals and the best way to keep your carb intake down on a chilly day.
10. One Pan Cauliflower Mac & Cheese
You can enjoy the flavors of mac and cheese, without the hefty carb count, in this speedy low-carb meal.
You simply fry up cauliflower and then add creamy ingredients (and plenty of cheese) to create a cheesy cauliflower mac & cheese.
You could of course pop it all into the oven for a crispy, cheesy cauliflower mac and cheese.
11. Egg Roll In A Bowl
This budget friendly low carb dish is one of those lazy meals that makes enough for a tasty meal and leftovers for days.
Ground Beef, garlic and cabbage are fried up in a flavorful sauce all in one pan. The simple recipe has flavors of a carby egg roll, but without the carbs.
I regularly make this for my husband to take to work and it travels/reheats really well.
12. One Pan Moussaka
Yes, another one pan dish and this one is a low carb, keto friendly version of a moussaka.
You slowly add ingredients to your frying pan until you have a dish that has all the flavours of a slow cooked, oven roasted moussaka yet it took little effort on the stove top.
13. Mushroom & Cauliflower Risotto
It’s really easy to create a keto friendly risotto – with cauliflower rice instead of carby arborio or another rice variety. You can then enjoy your favourite risotto flavours in a simple keto dish.
Mine is this mushroom risotto which tastes way better than the carb full alternative and is one of the easiest lazy keto meals out there.
14. Zucchini Pasta
This quick and easy zucchini pasta dish is a low carb friendly way to enjoy a creamy pasta sauce dish.
You can add in a portion of leftover rotisserie chicken for some added protein or keep the meal meat free.
It fools your taste buds by tasting almost exactly like a traditional pasta, but with virtually no carbs.
15. Broccoli Salad
This broccoli salad makes an excellent lunch, dinner or snack and is a real crowd pleaser when taken to a potluck or picnic.
As with other recipes among these lazy keto diet meals, you only need a few ingredients, including broccoli, sour cream and grated cheddar cheese, and follow a couple of simple steps to construct this cheesy broccoli salad.
