Year Of Desserts – challenge to make a new dessert for every week of the year 2021.
Year of Desserts
For 2021 I’m going to share a year of desserts with you. 52 dessert recipes to inspire and delight you with sweetness.
This will be part challenge, part sweet discovery and part ticking items off my never ending dessert bucket list. (As I like to call it!)
My only rule is to share never before shared recipes on the blog. Those can be ones I’ve cooked countless times for my family and not shared yet, desserts I’ve been wanting to make FOREVER but never got around to, recipes I’ve pinned on pinterest or tabbed in my countless cookbooks that I will FINALLY make.
When I decided to take on this challenge, I sat down to write out 52 ideas for desserts that I want to share this year. I thought the task may be tough. But, in no time I had 77 items on my list. (And counting!)
I’ll share the whole journey, ups and downs (#cookingfails) and just hopefully the joy that will be 2021.
On this page I’ll share all of the weekly recipes from 1 to 52, so you can refer back to this page for dessert inspiration. Also, be sure to sign up to receive my weekly newsletter where I’ll update you on my progress. (Click here to subscribe to the newsletter.)
Thought I’d also mention that, if you’ve been following my blog for a while, you’ll know that I usually share low carb, keto friendly recipes. As I dip in and out of the low carb lifestyle myself, you can expect the desserts to be a mix of keto and not keto friendly too.
I believe life is about balance – sometimes a keto dessert will do – other times a full fat, flaky, carby croissant is essential! (In my humble opinion.)
Update – since 2021 has now come and gone and I completed the dessert challenge, I thought I’d keep this page active so that you can savor all of the delicious treats for years to come. Enjoy!
